Fans Grow Concerned Over Latest Personal News About Deion Sanders originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The college football season is fast approaching, and for the Colorado Buffaloes, it marks Deion Sanders’ third year at the helm.
It’s been an uncertain offseason for the NFL Hall of Famer, who has missed significant time due to ongoing, unspecified health issues.
Sanders was largely absent from spring and summer camps but made a public appearance at Big 12 Media Day. While he declined to discuss his health, he assured reporters on July 9 that he’s “handling his responsibilities” and “can’t wait” for the season ahead.
However, concerns surrounding his condition grew this weekend after Chantz Martin of Fox News reported that Sanders is scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday alongside his medical team, where they’re expected to “provide general and team updates.”
It’s worth noting that on Friday Sanders posted on X , “Back and feeling great!”

Fans reacted to the news ahead of Monday’s press conference:
“This sounds concerning,” a fan said.
Someone else added, “OY! This doesn’t sound good!”
Another person wrote, “Hoping Deion is okay for his long term health, but you don’t usually host a press conference unless the news is less than positive.”
“hope the OG is going to pull through. This sounds serious,” one more fan commented.

Nonetheless, whether the news is good or bad, Sanders is finally set to address it—something fans have long awaited, despite his understandable desire to keep his personal life private.
At 57 years old, Sanders faces a big season ahead. With both of his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, as well as Travis Hunter no longer on the roster, his full commitment is essential if Colorado hopes to contend in the Big 12.
This is especially true with two new quarterbacks competing for the starting job: Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter and five-star freshman Julian Lewis, a decision Sanders will ultimately have to make in the near future before the Buffaloes open the season against Georgia Tech on Aug 29.
