Former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Diontae Johnson has been officially released from the Cleveland Browns — and he just broke his silence on social media.
Since 2023, Johnson has been on the roster of five different NFL teams and has five exits to match — but there aren’t any sour grapes in sight when it comes to his recent departure from Cleveland.
“Appreciate the opportunity, regardless,” Johnson wrote via X, referencing his Browns release.
Appreciate the opportunity regardless 🙏🏾💯

Johnson wasn’t the only ex-Steeler turned Brown to fail to make Cleveland’s 53-man squad — as Pittsburgh’s former first-rounder QB Kenny Pickett was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders last Monday ahead of final roster cuts.
Selected by the Steelers with the 66th overall pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Johnson quickly became one of the league’s most accomplished route runners — but burned bridges with several of his past teams due to attitude concerns.
