Rutgers Football head coach Greg Schiano met with the media again today as the Scarlet Knights prep for the upcoming season opener against Ohio this upcoming Thursday night inside of SHI Stadium.

News / Notes from the Press Conference

Head Coach Greg Schiano named the team captains today in quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis, offensive lineman Gus Zilinskas, linebacker Dariel Djabome, and edge rusher Jordan Walker.
Greg Schiano spoke very highly of the Ohio Bobcats football team, specifically mentioning their returning production on offense such as quarterback Parker Navarro and running back Sieh Bangura.
Mentioned how Bradley Weaver playing at Ohio has helped them a little bit in the gameplan.
Schiano also spoke about the return game this season and mentioned it could be a bit different with some of the players they have on the team this year.
Coach said that the two offensive tackle battles + the running back battles are still ongoing, should decide that rather soon.
