Ousmane Dembele was born on May 17, 1997, in Vernon, France. Dembele is of African descent as his mother is Mauritanian-Senegalese, while his father is Malian. He began his youth career in Evreux, France, when he played for Evreux FC 27.

Dembele’s roots are from West Africa, and his parents are Ousmane Sr. and Fatimata Dembele. Both parents relocated to France in search of better opportunities. Ousmane Dembele is the eldest of three kids in the family.

Dembele’s mother took him to the city of Rennes to meet his uncle and start his football journey at Madeleine Evreux Football Club. His father worked many hours to support Dembele in pursuing a football career.

Dembele is a practicing Muslim and married a Moroccan woman, Rima Edbouche. The couple got married in December 2021 and have a daughter together, who was born in September 2022. Ousmane Dembele’s Career So Far

Ousmane Dembele came onto the football scene with high expectations from a young age. After making his professional debut for Rennes, Dembele was named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year in his first season as a first-team player.

He earned a move to Borussia Dortmund in 2016, which led to him becoming a bigger profile. He guided Dortmund to a DFB-Pokal trophy in his debut season and was seen as one of the brightest young talents in the world.
