Mansfield Town are managed by former Liverpool forward Nigel Clough and will be looking to cause an upset on his return to Merseyside. The Stags are expected to name their strongest possible side for the trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Mansfield Town
This cup tie could be far trickier for Everton than many are envisaging. After being tipped for relegation and losing their first two league games, Mansfield’s season was ignited by a 2-0 win in the first round of this competition.
That victory has been the catalyst for a superb run of form. Clough’s side have since won three consecutive league matches, including an eye-catching 4-1 victory at the weekend, and are now the joint-top scorers in League One.
