With the 2025 college football season kicking off in just over a month, ESPN has view Colbie Young as the X factor for the Georgia Bulldogs. Young, a wide receiver, is set to return to the team after missing most of the 2024 season. His impressive size and pass-catching skills are expected to give Georgia’s offense a much-needed boost.
Before his 2024 suspension, Young played in five games for the Bulldogs, recording 11 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns. His absence was noticeable in the latter half of Georgia’s schedule, so his return is anticipated to significantly strengthen their passing game.Young’s comeback is just one of several key additions to Georgia’s wide receiver room for the 2025 season. The Bulldogs have also brought in Zachariah Branch and Noah Thomas through the transfer portal. Georgia also signed five-star Talyn Taylor and four-stars CJ Wiley, Thomas Blackshear and Landon Roldan through this past year’s recruiting class. With new weapons and projected quarterback Gunner Stockton behind center the UGA offense has the potential to be more consistent and efficient this year.
