Alabama football‘s blistering run in recruiting continued on July 4 with the addition of four-star defensive lineman Nolan Wilson from Picayune, Mississippi.
Wilson told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett of his commitment to coach Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide on Friday afternoon. He chose Alabama over offers from Miami, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Florida.
Listed at 6 feet, 4 inches and 250 pounds, Rivals ranks Wilson as the nation’s No. 4 defensive lineman in the class of 2026 in its industry recruiting rankings. He is the No. 53 player overall in ESPN’s Top 300 and is ranked the No. 3 recruit in the state of Mississippi.
Wilson is the ninth defensive player to commit to the Crimson Tide, who have seen a sharp rise in the various industry recruiting rankings after now adding 13 commits since the beginning of June.
Alabama football recruiting 2026 at a glance
Since June, Alabama has added five-star talent in wide receiver Cederian Morgan out of Alexander City, linebacker Xavier Griffin from Gainesville, Georgia, and running back Ezavier Crowell from Jackson, Alabama. In March, five-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds committed to the Tide. Alabama is the only program with four Rivals.com five-star recruits in the 2026 class.
The Crimson Tide also landed four-star commitments from quarterback and Iowa State flip Jett Thomalla, offensive tackle Sam Utu of Orange, California, and tight end Mack Sutter of Dunlap, Illinois, in June.
Three-star recruits Javari Barnett (running back, Tampa), Rihyael Kelley (safety, Cincinnati), Zay Hall (linebacker, Tuscaloosa), defensive lineman JJ Finch (Indianapolis), Owen Cabell (wide receiver, Nashville), and Brian Williams (receiver, Orlando) committed to Alabama in June, as well.
Rivals and 247Sports both rank Alabama’s 2026 recruiting class at No. 6 overall nationally. ESPN ranked the Crimson Tide’s class No. 9 class in its most recent update.
