Eagles Add 'Mammoth' Defensive Tackle in 2026 NFL Mock Draft

Eagles Add ‘Mammoth’ Defensive Tackle in 2026 NFL Mock Draft originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The Philadelphia Eagles are reigning world champions.

Until they’re not, they’re the best team in the NFL and will begin 2025 as such. That doesn’t mean improvements weren’t needed this offseason.

General manager Howie Roseman went out and drafted Jihaad Campbell with his first pick at No. 31 overall, then added Texas safety Andrew Mukuba in Round 2, Nebraska defensive tackle Ty Robinson in Round 4 and other defensive depth options in Rounds 5 (two picks) and 6.

We don’t know what will happen to the defense in 2025, although with the talent on the roster, it’s hard to imagine the unit taking a step backward.

PFSN believes the Eagles will continue with drafting young defensive players in its 2026 way-too-early NFL Mock Draft.

ROUND 1, PICK 32 – Philadelphia Eagles: Darrell Jackson, DT, Florida State

“The Eagles are always successful in the first round as they wait and let the board come to them. The same can be said here as the talented Darrell Jackson falls to their laps. Jackson is a mammoth of a man who offers excellent size and length. He plays with a powerful lower half, a wide base, and is excellent at anchoring in the running game. Jackson is still improving as a pass rusher, but his talent as a run defender is worthy of a first-round pick. Philadelphia has continued to invest in their defensive line and it has proven to be a strategic move.

“Jackson would give them another capable body in their already talented defensive front rotation.”
