Dr. Joseph Giordano, Who Saved Pres. Reagan’s Life, Dies at 84

Dr. Joseph Giordano, the vascular surgeon suddenly called into duty one afternoon to save President Ronald Reagan after an assassination attempt in 1981, has died at 84. When Reagan arrived at the hospital and joked “I hope you’re all Republicans,” Giordano famously replied “today, we’re all Republicans, Mr. President.” Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist remembers a life well lived.
