Detroit Tigers third baseman Jace Jung has been optioned to Triple-A Toledo.
The 24-year-old has been replaced by outfielder Akil Baddoo, who takes one of two open spots on the 40-man roster.
In 18 games, Jung hit .111 with seven walks and 15 strikeouts. The 2022 No. 12 overall draft pick owns a .194 batting average and continues to search for his first home run in his 52-game MLB career, spanning parts of two seasons.
