Details on Justin Edwards' deal with the Philadelphia 76ers emerge

The Philadelphia 76ers were able to keep a young piece in tow on a 3-year deal in an effort to continue adding a strong supporting cast around Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey. Justin Edwards, an undrafted guard out of Kentucky, did a lot of great things in the 2024-25 season earning him a new deal.

After averaging 10.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while shooting 45.5% from the floor and 36.3% from deep in 44 games with 26 starts, the Sixers declined his team option and brought Edwards back on a new 3-year deal. The idea now is that he will grow and develop with the Sixers and help them bounce back from a tough 2024-25 season.

Per Spotrac, Edwards’ deal is worth $7 million via Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

As the Sixers now look to move forward, one can believe Edwards will be a part of coach Nick Nurse’s rotation when the 2025-26 season rolls around. He will look to continue growing as a young player as Philadelphia pivots and moves on from a tough season.
