Cowboys fans gave Jerry Jones the Nico Harrison treatment over Micah Parsons

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones felt the heat on Saturday in Oxnard, California, while addressing fans during 2025 training camp over outside linebacker Micah Parsons.

“Pay Micah!” chants broke out while Jones was addressing the crowd, undoubtedly fueled by how poorly the Cowboys owner has handled the ongoing contract negotiations with Parsons and his team.

Jones earned some of the Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison-style frustration from Cowboys fans who clearly want him to just pay Parsons already and avoid a franchise embarrassment by him leaving.

The superstar edge rusher expressed his desire to remain with the franchise recently, but Jones openly questioning whether he should pay Parsons or not (to the point he responded to that on social media) is just bad, bad strategy.

To be honest, Dallas fans have every right to put some public heat on Jones in this way to get a deal done if this is how he’s going to handle such a vital contract negotiation for the franchise.

Mavericks fans will probably never forgive Harrison for trading away superstar Luka Dončić, and Jones is not exactly the most beloved figure in Cowboys fandom at base line.

Him bungling the Parsons negotiations by behaving like a toddler in press availability would only dig his franchise further and further into the phantom zone.

Here’s hoping for Dallas fans and Parsons that Jones finally gets over himself and gets this absolutely paramount contract done for the franchise he owns.
