Perhaps the biggest Summer League matchup of the year is here as Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper prepare to go head-to-head in Las Vegas.
The two top prospects were the No. 1 and No. 2 picks in the 2025 NBA Draft. Flagg landed with the Dallas Mavericks, while Harper went to the San Antonio Spurs. Each is expected to be a major contributor for these Texas squads for years to come.
Flagg debuted on Thursday against the Lakers, helping the Mavericks to an 87-85 victory. He had some nice moments, but his stat line wasn’t great. He had 10 points on 5-of-21 shooting with six rebounds and four assists.
Harper has yet to play in a Summer League game, missing out on all three California Classic games and the first Las Vegas match. He’s been dealing with a groin issue, so the Spurs are being cautious, but he’s expected to debut on Saturday, July 12, against the Mavericks.
