Caitlin Clark Pays Homage to Shedeur Sanders With Watch Celly Ahead of Win Over Sky originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Caitlin Clark isn’t just one of the biggest stars in the WNBA in only her second year in the league, she’s also one of the most avid sports fans among the group of the nation’s most prominent athletes.
Most notably, Clark has been a frequent presence at Indiana Pacers games — particularly during this current NBA Finals run, during which her good friend Tyrese Haliburton is stacking up clutch performances for the ages.
But Clark knows about more than just basketball. She displayed as much ahead of the Indiana Fever’s road contest against the Chicago Sky on Saturday, June 7, when she paid homage to former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback — and current Cleveland Browns signal caller — Shedeur Sanders by hitting one of his most iconic poses for the pregame cameras.

“CAITLIN 🤝 SHEDEUR,” the Yahoo Sports X account captioned a side-by-side photo post of Clark on Saturday and Sanders from his college days. “Caitlin Clark does her best Shedeur Sanders celly⌚️.”
Clark missed her fourth consecutive regular-season game on Saturday in Chicago, as she battles back from a quad strain she suffered against the New York Liberty on May 24. The Fever went on to win the contest comfortably (79-52) even without her.
Clark told reporters earlier this week that team doctors plan to reevaluate her status this weekend, which could lead to her return as early as Tuesday, June 10, in Atlanta.
Sanders, meanwhile, is participating in OTAs and minicamps ahead of Cleveland’s official preseason. He is battling against Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel for position on the depth chart and the chance to start for the Browns at some point this season — if not Week 1.
