Caitlin Clark Left in Disbelief After Pacers’ Game 1 Comeback Against Thunder originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was tuned in to the NBA Finals, as the Indiana Pacers faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the series.
Naturally, after the Pacers staged a wild comeback after trailing by as many as 15 points, Clark was among the first ones to react to the massive development.
Tyrese Haliburton stepped up for the Pacers in crunch time as they took the 111-110 victory. While his offense left much to be desired — finishing with 14 points on 2-of-7 shooting from deep, along with 10 rebounds and six assists — he made the most important shot of the game.
With less than six seconds remaining on the clock and the Pacers trailing by one point, 110-109, Haliburton took matters into his own hands. Finding some space on the right wing as the clock was winding down, the All-Star guard launched a shot from near the 3-point line … and it went in.

As all of Indiana celebrates the victory, Caitlin Clark quickly took to social media to share her reaction. The Fever playmaker was simply in disbelief of what Tyrese Haliburton just did, especially on the biggest stage of the NBA.
“YOU CANT MAKE IT UP,” Clark wrote, along with several “Face with tears of joy” emoji.
YOU CANT MAKE IT UP 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

It’s not the first time that Haliburton saved the Pacers from the verge of defeat. To recall, in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks, he also made a buzzer-beating shot to force overtime and allow Indiana to win.
Now, he did it again, and Clark was simply in awe.
Pascal Siakam led the Pacers in scoring with 19 points, while Obi Toppin had 15 off the bench. Indiana leads the series 1-0, as they get closer to the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
