Caitlin Clark Goes Viral After Getting Decked by Angel Reese’s Former Teammate originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark returned from injury with a bang over the weekend, leading her team to their fifth win of the season.
On Tuesday, Clark and the Fever were back in action, facing Marina Mabrey and the Connecticut Sun for the second time this season after losing the first battle, 85-83.
And things got a little heated between the two teams in the second half.
With just under five minutes to play in the third quarter, Clark was poked in the face by Sun guard Jacy Sheldon. The former Iowa star shoved Sheldon in retaliation, but Mabrey took offense to this, walking over and shouldering Clark to the deck.
Mabrey, who played with Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky for the first half of last season, was only handed a technical foul for the incident. Clark and Tina Charles were also given techs, while Sheldon received a flagrant.
The heated exchange was posted by several accounts online and has now gone viral.

WNBA fans took notice of Clark’s heated moment with Mabrey, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
“This has to stop. Protect the players. Marina thinks its funny… along with her teammates… it is not. So dirty,” one fan said.
“Talk about poor sportsmanship, that is disgusting and is not a way promote their team and players. That team looks pretty bad/thuggish,” added another.
“She didn’t want to be apart of the blowout coming up,” joked a third.
“OMG they only gave her a technical, WTF!!!” wrote a fourth.
“What a bunch of bull crap. Should be two ejections on the Sun,” claimed a fifth.
“wtf Mabrey shoving for? Get that (expletive) off the court,” added a sixth.
Clark has now picked up her second technical foul of the season, with her first coming in Saturday’s win over the New York Liberty. She can also expect a $200 fine coming her way, unless the WNBA rescinds the call.
