Bucs doing homework on former Florida State cornerback ahead of NFL Draft

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are heavily into NFL Draft prep and are continuing to host NFL Draft prospects as the event approaches. The league’s annual selection meeting is just six days away, and the Bucs are set to host a notable prospect to work them out and get to know them better.

The latest player to visit is someone the team could add to its secondary as the final piece of the puzzle. Azareye’h Thomas, out of Florida State, visited the team with just under a week to go before the NFL Draft.

The Florida State cornerback was invited to the Senior Bowl in January, and his stock has risen each week since then. He dominated one-on-ones there against some of the best wide receivers in the country. Thomas uses his physical style to be able to cover most wide receivers, it also allows him to be productive in run support.

The Bucs don’t have someone with his skillset so he would be a fun addition for the Bucs if they were able to land him in round one with a trade back or in the middle of round two.
