Browns DE Ogbo Okoronkwo takes to social media following his release

The Cleveland Brownsparted ways with defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo after two seasons with the team.

This made room to add a second kicker to the roster as the team prepares to put Dustin Hopkins through a training camp battle following a rocky 2024 season. Okoronkwo was known as a fun locker room guy who brought that contagious personality to the field as well.

After signing a three-year deal worth $19 million in 2023, Okoronkwo was a successful rotational pass rusher. He racked up 4.5 sacks in a rotational role in 2023, adding another three sacks in 2024. He most notably played through injury in 2023 as well as the Browns pushed themselves into a wildcard spot.

The veteran defensive end, following his release, has now responded with nothing but love to the place he called home for the last two years. He took to social media to relay his love for Cleveland, stating: “Love to the Land!”

Okoronkwo will now look for his fourth team throughout his NFL career after spending time with the Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans before his two-year stint in Northeast Ohio. Nothing but the best of luck to Okoronkwo as his NFL career takes on a new chapter.
