Brewers fans react to another grand night from Andrew Vaughn

Remember when a disgruntled Aaron Civale requested a trade last month after he was removed from the Milwaukee Brewers‘ starting rotation?

The organization should probably send Civale a thank you note.

The Brewers granted Civale’s request and traded him to the Chicago White Sox for veteran first baseman Andrew Vaughn, who was playing in the minor leagues.

And the lift Vaughn has given the Brewers’ offense has been major.

Vaughn’s career six-RBI night that included a grand slam helped the Brewers to a 9-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs. The outstanding performance is a continuation of show he’s put on since joining the Brewers after Rhys Hoskins went on the injured list.

In 15 games, Vaughn is hitting .375 with 5 HR and 21 RBI. That’s a slight difference from his 2025 numbers with the White Sox.

While fans wait to see if the Brewers will add more offense by the July 31 deadline, general manager Matt Arnold’s under-the-radar move to grab Vaughn in June has certainly been thunderous.

Fans were quick to express their appreciation after Vaughn’s sixth-inning slam:
