Less than 24 hours away from the Bucs rookies reporting, and they have now signed their entire 2025 NFL Draft class before then.
Notre Dame cornerback Benjamin Morrison was the last player to agree to terms, but he ended that situation on Sunday afternoon. NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo reported the signing first, with details of the deal being scarce.
Ryan Tollner and Rick DuPont of Excel Football negotiated Morrison’s contract.
Pewter Report was the first to point out that Morrison’s contract had some unique details compared to those of previous players selected in the same draft spot. They examined Ben Sinnott’s 2024 contract, the 53rd overall pick by the Commanders last year, and identified some notable differences.

Pewter Report’s Joshua Queipo writes, “Sinnott received 64% of his deal fully guaranteed. Morrison was able to advance that rate to an estimated 75% as Mike Garafolo of NFL Network has reported Morrison is getting 96% of his third-year salary guaranteed, a 54% increase over Sinnott.”
The extra money should sound two alarms for Bucs fans. The first being that they believe in Morrison’s ability and his potential as a future starting outside cornerback for the team. The second being that his hip must be healing and is going in the right direction, for so much guaranteed money to be on the table for him to gather up.
Morrison and the rest of the Bucs rookies will report for training camp on Monday, July 21.
