Tennessee pitcher Marcus Phillips was selected by the Red Sox with the No. 33 overall pick. He appeared in 36 games, including 19 starts, for the Vols from 2024-25.
Phillips (4-5) recorded 120 strikeouts, three saves and a 4.11 ERA in 103 innings. He won a national championship, SEC Tournament title and SEC regular-season championship in 2024 at Tennessee.
Phillips was named SEC Pitcher of the Week on March 17.
