Bills' Keon Coleman Speaks On 'Perfecting Craft' This Offseason

Bills’ Keon Coleman Speaks On ‘Perfecting Craft’ This Offseason originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman had an indifferent rookie season, plagued by injuries and inconsistent form, which prevented him from performing as he or the franchise would have wanted.

Keon would total 556 yards and four touchdowns from just 29 receptions as part of Joe Brady’s offense, and while there were good spurts in the year, they were few and far between.

But now that he is entering his second offseason, Coleman knows the lay of the land and what is expected of him as a high draft pick, and what was put on tape last year wasn’t up to scratch or, in his words, was “trash.”

So, what is he working on to be a better version of himself in 2025?

“Speed, technique, lifting getting stronger, bigger, faster, putting mass back on, so I can play physical,” Coleman said. “Then other than that, just perfecting my craft.”

And when asked how much better he can be than the receiver who stepped on the field in 2024, Keon’s response was rather definitive.

“A lot,” he added.

More is expected of Coleman, and in a receiver room that has Joshua Palmer, Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, and Laviska Shenault Jr., the Bills have ample weapons for Josh Allen.

But the front office and coaching staff want Keon to separate himself from that pack.

Yes, Shakir has developed into Allen’s go-to guy, but Coleman has to be that too, and with his physical style of play and ability to get downfield, he could emerge as quite the weapon in 2025.

And he’s making all the right decisions this offseason to make sure that happens.
