The relationship between North Carolina Tar Heels football head coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, continues to be controversial topic in the sports world.
Following Hudson and Belichick’s awkward “CBS Sunday Morning” interview with Tony Dokoupil, ESPN’s Paul Torres reported that Hudson was banned from UNC facilities amid a “deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation,” a family source noted.
However, UNC issued a statement denying that report. “While Jordan Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome at the Carolina Football Facilities.
“Jordon will continue to manage all actives related to Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”
Amid the conflicting reports, Hudson is competing in the 2025 Miss Maine competition this weekend. Hudson, along with 16 other competitors, are automatic contestants to win the People’s Choice Award, a fan-voted honor.
The winner earns a guaranteed spot in the Semifinals. For $1, fans can vote for their favorite contestant online until 10 a.m. ET on May 11. Based on the early results on Saturday, however, Hudson received some disappointing news.
While the 24-year-old may be the most famous face in the competition, it’s Lexi Bjork from Greenville in clear first place with 1,392 votes thus far. Arianna DeJesus form Penobscot racked up 1,296 votes. Hudson is far from last place, but only has 201 votes.
During the pageant, “Each contestant will compete in three phases of preliminary competition: Interview, Activewear (Teen)/Swimsuit (Miss), and Evening Gown,” the website states. There is no talent competition.
“The results from these preliminary phases of competition are judged, and the contestants with the highest composite scores become semifinalists.”
Hudson, whom the 73-year-old coach called his “creative muse” in the acknowledgment section of his book, ,”The Art of Winning,” announced her decision to return to the pageant competition on April 9. She finished as 1st runner-up last year.
She wrote on Instagram, “I couldn’t think of a better day to share with the world that I will be competing for Miss Maine USA 2025; representing my hometown, Hancock. 🫶🏼💜.”
