Training Camps around the NFL have begun to open and the Cowboys were no different taking to the practice fields in Oxnard to prepare for the 2025 season. Cowboys departed for California on July 20 and keeping up with all-things Dallas can be a daunting task. A quick scroll down Cowboys Twitter can get even the most casual fans up to date after the first week of practice.
First Day of Practice:
Dallas opened camp with an introductory press conference where Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke about player contracts and the expectations that come with large sums of salary. The players themselves opened camp with just helmets to help ease them in during the acclimation period.
Jerry Jones had a lot to say about Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs in his opening press conference here at camp. Turns out the players had a lot to say themselves when I touched base with both post practice. #cowboyspic.twitter.com/dynpkfdrfS

First scuffle of camp quickly broken up before anything notable happened. Brevyn Spann-Ford and Donovan Ezeiruaku the ones getting crossways. BSF was a part of multiple training camp dust-ups last year as a rookie. pic.twitter.com/tmUU3uAiYq

a few things that jumped out at me from the first #Cowboys practice of 2025 #trainingcamp:
this isn’t all-inclusive, but rather standouts.
🔑 add-on: Jake Ferguson looks ready for all manner of smoke, and Marist Liufau is diagnosing plays a lot faster.

Day Two of Practice:
On the second day of camp, Dallas once again rolled with just helmets but showed the world how electric the start of practice under first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer has become. As the day went on, practice fights matched the intensity at the start of practice.

some observations from Day 2 of #Cowboys#trainingcamp:
note: not all-inclusive, simply standouts.
🔑 add-on: Cooper Beebe’s anchor is stellar, but now it looks like his punch/strength “hurts”, and Marist Liufau looks as if he knows plays before the offense does.

Day Three of Practice
Dallas added shoulder pads to their uniforms as the Cowboys slowly callus their bodies in preparation for the rigors of the NFL. Practicing in “Shells” gave everyone an opportunity to see the big boys in action, in a limited capacity.

Cowboys Day 3 🧵
Solomon Thomas recorded 2 strong QB pressures over Tyler Smith.Donovan Ezeiruaku is off to a fast start. He’s pushing the pocket showing speed and versatility.
Joe Milton continues to get more reps than Will Grier. Milton had a better Day 3 than Day 1-2.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott talks about the intensity of training camp thus far, which has resulted in fights (or near-fights) in each of the last three practices:
“It’s a fine line, and we’re flirting with it.” 👀 #CowboysNation

Friday July 25 – First rest day
The Cowboys are off today. No practices. The team returns to the field Saturday with the “opening ceremonies,” as they have practice No. 4. The pads come on for the first time Sunday.

Cowboys Back Together Weekend :: Opening Ceremony
Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones spoke to fans during the teams opening ceremony which was also the first day of Dallas wearing full pads. The Cowboys first few days of practice were met with sparse crowds but the weekend proved Cowboys Nation travels well.

KaVontae Turpin had a leaping drop in the back of the endzone two days ago. So I was curious to see how he would do in this drill asking him to do exactly that.
Nice snag. With hands instead of body. Schotty loved it. #Cowboyspic.twitter.com/FmjbCZrOv0

There’s a fan here at Cowboys training camp walking past the stands constantly in an Eagles shirt. He’s getting booed every time.
The twist: the back of his shirt says “I suck at fantasy football.”
