Bengals UDFA provides injury update, why he picked Cincy

It’s not a great secret why an undrafted free agent might choose the Cincinnati Bengals.

Just ask Seth McLaughlin, the former Ohio State standout who fell out of the draft this year after suffering a torn Achilles last winter.

At rookie minicamp this week, McLaughlin told reporters, including Fox 19’s Jeremy Rauch, that he chose the Bengals because of the offensive fit and the fact Joe Burrow’s team is a Super Bowl contender.

Also tucked into McLaughlin’s commentary is the slight reveal that he should be good to practice this summer as his rehab continues.

Whether McLaughlin is fully cleared for training camp or not, it will be interesting to see if the Bengals approach this as almost a redshirt year for him to get healthy before competing for the 53 as a sophomore.

Either way, the Bengals very obviously got great value with McLaughlin and fans getting to hear these types of comments is certainly refreshing:
