Bengals release former Georgia football RB

The Cincinnati Bengals have released former Georgia Bulldogs running back Kendall Milton.

Milton played in two games for the Bengals during the 2024 NFL season. The Philadelphia Eagles initially signed Milton as an undrafted free agent after the 2024 NFL draft. However, the Eagles released Milton ahead of the roster cuts deadline and he spent the 2024 season on the Bengals’ practice squad.

Milton had a strong preseason for the Bengals. He posted 17 carries for 94 yards. Milton’s longest play of the preseason came on a 41-yard rush against the Indianapolis Colts.

Cincinnati could still add Milton to their practice squad for the 2025 NFL season. Milton was one of numerous former Georgia Bulldogs cut ahead of the NFL 53-man roster deadline.

Milton was a fan-favorite during his time at Georgia. He won national championships with the Bulldogs in 2021 and 2022. The former four-star recruit posted 1,839 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns during his Georgia career.

The Bengals still have two former Georgia players on their roster in rookie offensive guard Dylan Fairchild and second-year offensive tackle Amarius Mims. Both Mims and Fairchild are expected to start.

The Bengals’ offensive line will play a significant role in Cincinnati’s success. They have to do a better job of protecting star quarterback Joe Burrow in 2025.
