Bemidji goes low in Grand Rapids, breaks 300 in tournament win

Apr. 22—GRAND RAPIDS — Tuesday was as good a day as any for the Bemidji High School boys golf team to shoot under 300.

The Lumberjacks won the Grand Rapids Best Ball invite at Pokegama in Grand Rapids with a team score of 294. It was 13 strokes better than Duluth East in second place.

Beckett Grand shot an even-par 71 to pace BHS, finishing in second overall. Weston Seitz was right behind him in third with a 72. Jackson Fogelson took fourth with a 74.

Graham Fish (76, 10th), Conrad Foss (83, 28th) and Logan Brink (85, 34th) rounded out the day for the Jacks.

Duluth East’s Own Johnson had the best individual round of any player in the tournament, shooting a one-under 70.
