Beckett Grand takes 77th place at Class 3A state meet

Jun. 11—COON RAPIDS — The Bemidji High School boys golf season has officially come to a close.

Freshman Beckett Grand, the last Lumberjack standing, shot a 162 at Bunker Hills and Coon Rapids on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Class 3A state meet.

After a slow start to his first round, Grand birdied the second hole en route to carding an 84. Grand also shot a one-over 37 on the back nine in his second round to go with five pars on the front nine. He finished his ninth-grade season with a score of 78.

Cretin-Durham Hall’s Sam Udovich ran away with the Class 3A state title with a four-under-par two-day score of 134.
