Bears Offensive Line Quietly Lands Among NFL’s Elite in Latest Rankings

The Bears spent the offseason loading up on talent, bringing in difference-makers on both sides of the ball. With a new coaching staff, a new identity, and a new franchise quarterback to protect, the foundation was always going to be critical. This week, one part of that foundation just got national recognition — and it might be the clearest sign yet that something is finally clicking in Chicago.

Pro Football Focus — known for its data-driven approach to player evaluation — dropped its 2025 NFL Offensive Line Rankings, and somehow, some way, the Chicago Bears landed at No. 4 overall. That’s not a typo.

That’s not a glitch. The same unit that used to feel like a revolving door for opposing pass rushers is now considered one of the league’s best.

‘Things are set to look a lot different in Chicago. Not only is the offensive line remolded, but it’s also perhaps the most improved unit in the NFL,’ the PFF report reads.

The tackle duo of Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright both finished among the top 22 graded tackles last season — a quietly impressive achievement in its own right. Then came the reinforcements. Joe Thuney, the best pass-blocking guard in football.

Drew Dalman, a technician at center with two years of top-five grades. And Jonah Jackson, the X-factor who could turn this into a complete unit if he returns to form.

With Ben Johnson now calling the shots and a legitimate wall built to protect Caleb Williams, the Bears suddenly look… functional. Maybe even dangerous. If health holds and chemistry builds, Chicago’s offense won’t just improve — it might surprise people. And when the dust settles, don’t be shocked if this offensive line is still standing at the center of it all.
