Maybe it made sense for the Browns to discard Baker Mayfield when they did.
But man, it doesn’t feel great right now as Cleveland has a four-man QB competition ongoing at training camp while Mayfield is a bonafide star for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Browns fans won’t love what Mayfield had to say about it, either.
He joined the Kelce brothers on the New Heights Podcast and was asked his thoughts on what’s happening in Cleveland.
Mayfield’s reply? “Not my problem anymore.”
Very true.

The Browns would love to have the QB that Mayfield has grown into.
But instead, after an injury-plagued season, they gave up on him and made the choice to bring in Deshaun Watson with his off-field baggage and then pay him tons of guaranteed money.
That didn’t work, and after a Mayfield detour or two, he wound up as a star in Tampa Bay.
The Browns probably wish their quarterback play was still Mayfield’s problem. It’d be a good problem to have.
