Furthermore, Jones and Feliciano report that Newcastle have no intention of selling Livramento this summer. Jones and Feliciano further report that the Manchester City hierarchy believes that Tino Livramento has had his head turned by Manchester City’s interest in signing him. Matheus Nunes could do a job for City at right-back, but if they could sign Tino Livramento, it would complete the perfect summer for City.
Currently, Matheus Nunes would be Manchester City’s first-choice right-back. Rico Lewis or Manuel Akanji can play the role but based on his form at the FIFA Club World Cup, Nunes would seemingly be Pep Guardiola’s preferred choice at right-back. To his credit, Matheus Nunes has taken to the right-back role well. He has had some difficult moments in the position, but the more he’s played there the better he has become. But if City could sign Tino Livramento they’d enter next season with a squad with little to no holes in it.
