The Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese only has roughly 50 WNBA games under her belt, but it’s clear she’s already one of the league’s biggest names. And even while the persistent 23-year-old forward still has so much more room to grow, especially as an offensive finisher, she’s already established herself as a bona fide franchise piece.
You don’t get picked for two consecutive WNBA All-Star games to start your professional career if you’re not cooking up something special. Reese’s “crown is heavy,” but she wears it well.
It’s easy to see why Reese was once again named one of the WNBA’s 22 best players. Two signature performances and stretches stand out most in Reese’s 2025 catalog so far. In mid-June, she recorded the first triple-double of her career in a win over the Connecticut Sun, showing that her all-around bag is getting deeper with every additional morsel of experience she gains. In the second, she dropped an awesome “mebounds” quote after becoming the first WNBA player to ever record at least 15 rebounds in four consecutive games.
As Reese keeps developing, the struggling Sky have something to look forward to in the future while she blossoms. It’s no wonder they broke a team huddle on Sunday to celebrate their promising, young building block of a teammate’s latest All-Star achievement. This is what it’s all about, folks:

What’s particularly encouraging about Reese is her rapid growth. At the time of this writing, she’s shot at least 50 percent from the field in three of her last five games. She’s also recorded 37 assists in her last seven games, demonstrating that her playmaking ability from the paint continues to evolve.
Reese is already a household name. But if she keeps taking meaningful steps like this, the Sky (pun intended) might truly be the limit.
