Angel Reese Makes WNBA History, Joins Caitlin Clark, Sabrina Ionescu in Elite Company originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The WNBA season has begun electrically as the league enters the mid-way point of June.
As the Chicago Sky look to bounce back from starting their season with one of the worst records in the WNBA, they finished their three-game road trip on Sunday and were able to beat the Connecticut Sun with a final score of 78-66.
It was another game that got chippy in the second half after tempers flared in a battle for a rebound in the third quarter.
Second-year forward Angel Reese got into a scuffle with the Sun’s Bria Hartley and Tina Charles after Hartley fouled Reese hard in a battle for a rebound.

Five players scored in double figures for Chicago as Angel Reese and the Sky snapped a three-game losing streak in the win.
After finishing with 11 points, 13 rebounds and a career-high 11 assists while adding three steals and two blocks, Angel Reese was able to secure her first triple-double since entering the league in 2024.
The performance made her the third-fastest player in league history to tally a triple-double.
She joins Sabrina Ionescu (six games) and Caitlin Clark (22 games) in the list, as she hit the milestone in her 44th game.
After the win on Sunday, Reese’s stat line for the 2025 season are set at 10.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
While it only makes for the Sky’s third win of the season, Chicago will look to continue to battle back into playoff contention as they take on the Washington Mystics on Tuesday.
