Denver Nuggets point guard Russell Westbrook just completed his 17th NBA season. The No. 4 overall pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder (then Seattle Supersonics) in the 2008 NBA Draft, Westbrook is one of the most individually accomplished players in league history.
Named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team in 2021, Westbrook is a nine-time All-Star, three-time assists champion, two-time scoring champion and the 2017 league MVP. While he is no longer the superstar-caliber player from his prime in Oklahoma City, Westbrook appeared in 75 games (36 starts) for Denver this season, averaging 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists.
Best-known for his ability on the court, most notably his all-time lead in triple-doubles, Westbrook is also a very prominent figure off the court. Very involved in fashion and the community, Westbrook is the owner of Honor The Gift, an LA-based clothing brand.
Recently launching his Word of Westbrook newsletter where he breaks down everything from sports to fashion, the 36-year-old guard highlights “tunnel fits” from around basketball. On Thursday, Westbrook specifically shouted out Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese for her pregame outfit against the Indiana Fever.
“Runway in the W is AMAZING,” he wrote. “Black on black. Trench coat. Top to bottom, it’s elite. Love the look. The leather boots with the shade of blue — I love it.”

Westbrook also highlighted Las Vegas Aces guard Chelsea Gray, Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein and Angel City FC star Sydney Rae Leroux. While all four athletes received a spotlight, it was Gray he chose as his favorite look of the week.
“This is my favorite look of the week,” Westbrook wrote of the Aces guard. “I love the oversized look from top to bottom. It’s put together very well. And you see a pop of brown with Adidas. I love it. The look is amazing.”
