Manchester United could be in line for another transfer windfall from the sale of a former player.

Sell-on fees collected

The Red Devils have already collected substantial fees from Anthony Elanga’s move to Newcastle United this summer.

Alvaro Carreras’ move to Real Madrid from SL Benfica also brought in some money.

Even Maxi Oyedele’s transfer to Strasbourg brought in some extra cash for United this summer.

Andreas Pereira to be next

The Brazil international came through the United academy and played 75 times for the club, scoring four goals.

He finally moved to Fulham in 2022 and has played 119 times for the Cottagers.

Nonetheless, Pereira has been regularly linked with a move away from the Premier League with Palmeiras and Olympique de Marseille both showing interest in the midfielder.

New move plotted

The Manchester Evening News reports that “Manchester United could be a line for a small transfer windfall as Andreas Pereira reportedly gets set to leave Fulham in the final week of the transfer window.”

The 29-year-old played no part in Fulham’s 1-1 draw with Man United at Craven Cottage yesterday as he prepares for a move.

The report adds that “Fulham haven’t accepted any bids for the midfielder, there is an expectation he will leave the club within the next ten days. Brazilian side Palmeiras are reportedly interested in Pereira.”

Brazilian outlet Mixvale.com report that “Palmeiras are intensifying negotiations to sign midfielder Andreas Pereira from Fulham for €14 million.”

The player is thought to be a replacement for Richard Rios, who signed for Benfica earlier in the summer.

It is added that, “Andreas, aged 29, is seen as the ideal fit for Abel Ferreira’s tactical setup, bringing versatility and international experience. The lack of offers from Flamengo, the player’s initial preference, gives Palmeiras an edge.”

The Brazilians have already had an offer rejected for the player in the winter market but Fulham have lowered their price tag with Pereira into the last year of his contract in London.
