If given the chance to choose two games to win every season, most Minnesota Vikings fans would choose those against the Green Bay Packers. They are the team in closest proximity to the Vikings, making them Minnesota’s biggest rival.
Unfortunately, NFL Network’s Adam Rank doesn’t believe the Vikings will sweep the Packers for a second straight season. In fact, he has the Vikings losing both contests this season to the Green and Gold. That includes the Week 18 season finale, giving the Packers a 9-8 record.
Rank has the Vikings going 8-9, meaning that their Week 18 loss would likely kill any playoff chances. A season sweep of the Packers would likely get the Vikings in, while a split would probably leave their playoff hopes in the hands of others.
Adam Rank continues to blow my mind.
Bears at 11-6, Packers at 9-8, and the two best teams in the NFC North at 8-9?? pic.twitter.com/INh3JAEFav

It is worth noting that Adam Rank is a Chicago Bears fan, which may influence his prediction, as he has Chicago winning the division at 11-6. This isn’t impossible, of course, but it should be noted before taking his predictions any more seriously than a regular fan from Chicago.
