AJ Brown teased NFL fans with a video of his signed Julian Edelman and Tom Brady Patriots jerseys

AJ Brown and the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for a title defense in 2025, but Brown took an opportunity to tease NFL fans about his future on Thursday.

In a video he posted on his Instagram account, Brown showed off his newly received New England Patriots jersey signed by franchise legend Julian Edelman, who he called the “GOAT.” He also received an autographed jersey from Tom Brady.

Brown seemed to be playing a bit of a prank on NFL fans (and Eagles fans in particular), as he showed off a No. 11 New England jersey while saying, “The wait is over! It’s finally official!” before flipping the jersey around to reveal that it was an autographed Edelman jersey.

I know Eagles fans’ hearts are beating. Boom-boom, boom-boom,” Brown said. “Man, I just be playing. I play too much, I like to have fun!”

While Brown doesn’t seem to have legitimate interest in leaving the Super Bowl champions to join the Patriots, Edelman himself didn’t miss the opportunity to recruit him.

“All day bro. Feel free to rock 11 when you sign #FoxboroForever,” Edelman commented on the video.

Brown, who is from Mississippi, apparently grew up a fan of the Patriots and said that he had been a longtime fan of Edelman’s after the former New England star left a note for him ahead of the Super Bowl.

If Brown is going to ultimately join his childhood team and follow in Edelman’s footsteps, it likely won’t be coming anytime soon. Brown agreed to a contract extension with Philadelphia last April that would keep him in the City of Brotherly Love until 2029.

But the post certainly caught the attention of Patriots fans, and it kickstarted online rumors of an (albeit unlikely) trade.
