AC Milan have expressed their interest in signing Almeria full-back Marc Pubill this summer (h/t journalist Gianluca Di Marzio).

The Rossoneri have been among the busiest clubs in the transfer window. Having secured deals for Samuele Ricci and Luka Modric, they are now targeting additional players.

Signing a right-back is on the wishlist following the departure of Alessandro Florenzi, whose contract expired last week.

Milan signed Kyle Walker on loan in January as a short-term solution, but he has returned to Manchester City.

Fikayo Tomori filled in as a right-back on a few occasions last season, but the Rossoneri need a reliable option.

Pubill has emerged as a potential target for Milan, who have been impressed by his rapid rise in recent years.

The 22-year-old caught the eye after playing a pivotal role in Spain’s success at the Olympic Games last year.

He was also part of the Spanish squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2025 European U21 Championship, before losing to eventual winners England.

Despite Almeria failing in their bid for promotion to La Liga last season, Pubill has been a consistent performer.

Interest from Barcelona speaks volumes about the full-back’s potential.

The La Liga giants are planning a move for Pubill and then loaning him to Real Betis, similar to the deal for Emerson Royal in 2019. He is valued at €15 million.

Milan are focused on attacking and midfield reinforcements at the moment.

They are pushing to sign Swiss midfielder Aydon Jashari after submitting an improved offer, but have yet to get the green light from Club Brugge.

Dusan Vlahovic and Mateo Retegui are among their potential striker targets.
