Titans unlikely to have compensatory draft picks in 2026

Every year, the NFL awards teams with compensatory draft picks based on a formula using compensatory free agents (CFA). In 2025, the Tennessee Titans were not awarded any of those picks because of the previous year’s activity. Turns out, they aren’t in much better shoes this year and are unlikely to have any compensatory draft picks in 2026.

From Over The Cap:

The Titans don’t have many UFAs of note (Dillon Radunz? Nick Westbrook-Ikhine?), and with a new GM with a roster that still needs plenty of work, this seems like a good time as any for the Titans to pounce and to use unrestricted free agency to fill out the depth chart. Potential: Low

The Titans had nine picks in the 2025 NFL draft and made some additions during free agency, but their losses were nothing compared to their gains.

CFAs lost: Mason Rudolph

CFAs gained: Kevin Zeitler, Cody Barton, Xavier Woods, and Dan Moore Jr.

The deadline for compensatory picks to be counted for next year closed on Monday after the draft, so any moves made going forward will not count toward compensatory picks.

The Titans have a relatively young team at this point and are looking to build around Carm Ward, so not having a compensatory pick isn’t a major detriment. General manager Mike Borgonzi started the building process with this draft. Now it’s up to Brian Callahan to put it all together and create a plan that earns wins.
