Former Alabama basketball forward announces transfer portal decision

After previously entering the NCAA transfer portal earlier this offseason, former Alabama Crimson Tide guard Naas Cunningham has now announced a decision, committing to the UNLV Rebels.

Cunningham is the third Alabama transfer portal entrant to announce a 2025-26 playing decision, joining the duo of Mouhamed Dioubate (Kentucky) and Jarin Stevenson (North Carolina).

A freshman forward this past season, Cunningham did not see any action with the Crimson Tide, and redshirted at seasons end. Prior to Alabama, Cunningham was a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2024 recruiting class, rated as a four-star, Top 50 prospect out of SoCal Academy in California.

With the transfer decision of Cunningham to UNLV, Alabama’s lone portal entrant yet to make a decision is Derrion Reid.
