Memphis Grizzlies superstar guard Ja Morant proved his absolutely absurd athleticism and tenacity during Game 2 of his team’s opening 2025 NBA playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
During Monday’s road playoff game, Morant ran down the court and got the air necessary to swat down a layup on the basket from superstar Thunder forward Chet Holmgren.
Watching the 6-foot-2 Morant elevate high enough to bat down a shot on the basket from the 7-foot-1 Holmgren is genuinely jaw-dropping. How did he get up there like that?
Morant isn’t a stranger to making incredible plays for Memphis, but this is on another level of impressive.

We’re sure Holmgren wasn’t quite expecting this shot to get blocked by Morant in this stunning fashion. The Thunder may win this series with how they’re playing, but Morant will still not be denied.
