Steph Curry drops game-high 31 points in Game 1 vs. Rockets

Coming off a 37-point performance against the Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in tournament, Stephen Curry doubled down with another impressive performance to open the postseason in Game 1 against the Houston Rockets.

In 40 minutes, the All-Star point guard tallied a game-high 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field with five made triples to go along with six boards, three assists and a steal in Golden State’s 95-85 Game 1 win in Houston.

Curry quickly erased any questions regarding his ability to score against the Rockets. In early April, Houston held Curry to 1-of-10 shooting from the field and 1-of-8 from beyond the arc. The Rockets’ defense swarmed Curry, and the 37-year-old was still able to bury a flurry of improbable triples from beyond the arc.
