One of the program’s top basketball transfer portal targets has narrowed his list of finalists down to two, as guard Cedric Coward will reportedly make a decision between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Duke Blue Devils.
Last week, it was reported that Conrad, who is also testing the NBA draft waters, was down to five finalists. In that group, Alabama and Duke were joined by Florida, Kansas, and Washington.
A transfer from Washington State, Conrad appeared in only six games this past season due to an injury, averaging 17.7 points, 7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game on 55.7% shooting from the field. Prior to Washington State, Conrad spent two seasons at Eastern Washington in which he averaged 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game during the 2023-24 season to earn First Team All-Big Sky honors.
With Conrad now reportedly down to two finalists, a decision from the top transfer guard could be coming in the near future. Could Conrad join Noah Williamson, Taylor Bol Bowen, and Jalil Bethea in Alabama’s transfer class?
Washington State transfer Cedric Coward has cut his list to Alabama and Duke, per his agent Todd Ramasar of @LifeSportsAgncy.
Coward’s primary focus is still on the NBA Draft after he picks a school.
Averaged 17.7 PPG and 7.0 RPG in six games last season prior to injury.
