Philp finishes his AHL season with 19 goals, 16 assists, and 35 points in 55 games. In his last AHL season, he recorded 57 points in 70 games.
His performance alone was almost enough to will the team into a playoff position. Sadly, they missed it, due to the Tuscon Roadrunners winning the tiebreaker. The Roadrunners have won 34 games this year, while the Condors have won 32 games.
All eyes will turn to players getting called up to the Oilers. The Oilers will need every player on the ice pulling on the rope to get the team to the ultimate prize.
One of those 12 forwards playing in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Kings has to be Philp.
