Michigan State picked up season-opening win this past weekend, which has led to the Spartans landing in On3’s latest bowl projections update.
Brett McMurphy of On3 has released updated bowl projections following week one action, with the Spartans making his list. McMurphy has Michigan State staying close to home this posteason and heading to the GameAbove Sports Bowl in Detroit, Mich.
The Spartans are projected by McMurphy to play Central Michigan in the GameAbove Sports Bowl.
Michigan State opened the 2025 season with a 23-6 win over Western Michigan. The Spartans made relatively easy work of the Broncos, carrying a three-touchdown lead into halftime but failing to score more than a safety in the second half. Michigan State will now turn its focus to a much tougher opponent in Boston College of the ACC this week.
