Lando Norris topped the final practice session for the Formula One Dutch Grand Prix on Saturday, as the season resumes following a four-week summer break.
The McLaren driver clocked 1 minute 08.972 seconds on the 4.259 kilometres Zandvoort track, beating team-mate and championship leader Oscar Piasti by 0.242s.
George Russell of Mercedes was third, but he had an incident with the Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso which will be investigated after the session.
Russell cut across to seemingly enter the pitlane but Alonso was trying to overtake on the right. The two collided at the pit entry, with Alonso closest to the wall.
Norris has closed the gap on Piastri in the standings to nine points by winning three of the last four races, and he won last year’s Dutch race.
Local hero and defending world champion Max Verstappen was fifth behind the Williams of Carlos Sainz
The Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were sixth and 14th respectively.
Qualifying is later on Saturday and the Dutch GP on Sunday.
