Chelsea have signed off Nicolas Jackson’s departure after Bayern Munich struck a deal to take the striker on loan.
The move comes with an option to buy, leaving fans debating whether the Blues may have passed too quickly on a player still finding his finishing touch.
The agreement is understood to include a €15m loan fee, with Bayern holding the right to make the deal permanent for around €80m, as per Fabrizio Romano.

A sell-on clause is also part of the package. Jackson has reportedly already agreed personal terms with the German champions and will travel to Bavaria for his medical.
At just 24, Jackson has had mixed fortunes at Chelsea since arriving from Villarreal in 2023. He scored 17 goals in his first season, but his inconsistency in front of goal, coupled with new arrivals up front, pushed him down the pecking order.
The Senegalese striker has been sidelined from Chelsea’s opening games, apparently making this switch a timely reset.

Did Chelsea make the right choice to loan out Nicolas Jackson?
That’s the million-euro question. Jackson’s talent is clear, but his finishing has often left fans pulling their hair out.
He has converted just 18 of 61 so-called “big chances” in league play, a stat that may explain Chelsea’s willingness to cash in.
Still, letting him go after investing in him just a couple of seasons could be risky. Chelsea now place their faith in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, both signed this summer to sharpen the attack.
Whether they prove sharper than Jackson in the box remains to be seen.
For Bayern, the deal looks low-risk. With Harry Kane carrying the bulk of their scoring load, Jackson offers depth without forcing a financial gamble. If he clicks in Munich, Bayern get a bargain. If not, they simply send him back.
Chelsea fans, meanwhile, will watch closely from Stamford Bridge. If Jackson finds his shooting boots in Germany, questions will surely return: did the Blues give up too early?
