BOYS SOCCER

Green Bay Southwest 1, Green Bay East 0

GREEN BAY – The Trojans got a goal from Ben Lewis in the 32nd minute in their win over the Red Devils.

Jonathan Maes assisted on the goal for Southwest.

Owen Hanold had two saves in goal for the Trojans.

Green Bay Preble 5, Appleton West 0

GREEN BAY – The Hornets scored 32 seconds into their game against the Terrors and went on to get the victory.

Carter Allen Walker scored twice for Preble. Hunter DeGrave, Jordan Escobar and Huj Chi Vang each scored one goal.

Eli Alexander and Brace Massio combined for four saves in goal for Preble.

Pulaski 2, Xavier 0

PULASKI – The Red Raiders got goals from Walker Wozniak in the 17th minute and Kevin Cruz Lagunes in the 45th minute in their win over the Hawks.

Wozniak assisted on Cruz Lagunes’ goal for Pulaski.

Jonah Drevs had six saves in goal for Pulaski.

Elias Backes and Jonathan Laguna-Ramirez combined for seven saves for Xavier.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Neenah Quadrangular

NEENAH – Luxemburg-Casco went 2-2 at the quadrangular.

The Spartans beat Appleton North 25-20, 25-18; lost to Bay Port 21-25, 21-25; beat Notre Dame 21-25, 25-22, 15-6; and lost to Neenah 25-27, 21-25.

Alayna Deprez had 88 assists and 23 digs for Luxemburg-Casco. Aubrey Frey had a team-high 43 kills along with 26 digs. Rylan Kaminski led in digs with 28, while Claire Schleis had 22 kills.

“It was a good first night of the season,” Luxemburg-Casco coach Jeff Frey said. “We have a number of inexperienced players who tonight was their first varsity action. There were a ton of learning opportunities and they all grew. We have a long ways to go and grow as a team and as individuals, and that’s exciting.”

Stevens Point Panther Invitational

STEVENS POINT – NEW Lutheran finished 2-2 and in fifth place at the tournament.

In pool play, Newman Catholic beat NEW Lutheran 25-21, 25-17 before the Blazers beat Northland Pines 22-25, 25-14, 15-11.

In silver division play, Wittenberg-Birnamwood beat NEW Lutheran 23-25, 25-19, 15-9 and then NEW Lutheran beat Berlin 25-9, 25-23.

Sadie Czaja and Kiera Adams-McIntosh had 19 and 18 kills, respectively, for NEW Lutheran. Olivia Kirchner had 73 assists, while Jaden Schmidt had 51 digs. Kirchner added nine aces and Czaja had seven aces.

Peshtigo Invitational

PESHTIGO – Crivitz went 2-2 and finished in third place in the nine-team event.

The Wolverines beat Green Bay Southwest 2-1 and Gibraltar 2-0 in pool play. In the championship bracket, Crivitz went 1-2 against Florence and 0-2 versus Peshtigo.

Marli Meyers led Crivitz with 23 kills. Kiya Brand, Peyton Rehberg and Brecken Ott had 17, 13 and 11 kills, respectively.

Brand had a team-high 23 digs. Izzy Wesoloski had 14 digs. Hattie Frievalt added 10 digs.

Frievalt and Haili Dorschner had 35 and 25 assists, respectively.

Battle of the Valley

TOWN OF HARRISON – Xavier went 4-0 with wins over Little Chute, Chilton, Howards Grove and Fox Valley Lutheran to win the Battle of the Valley tournament at The Barn.

The Hawks defeated Little Chute 25-14, 25-19; beat Chilton 25-5, 25-17; beat Howards Grove 25-14, 25-22; and beat Fox Valley Lutheran 20-25, 25-16, 15-3.

Sydney Neilitz led Xavier with 65 assists. She also had 21 digs and six aces. Braelee Kiepert had 20 kills and 17 digs, Lily Renz had 14 kills and 16 digs, and Grace Hackl had 27 digs and 10 aces.

Rose Kendall and Allie Gioffredi added 18 and 17 kills, respectively, for Xavier. Bella Velasquez had 12 digs and five aces.

Fox Valley Lutheran finished with a 3-1 record. The Foxes defeated Wrightstown and Appleton East in straight sets in pool play.

The Foxes then beat Howards Grove 2-0 before falling to Xavier.

Kenzie Loberger had 36 assists, 22 digs, 13 kills and 13 aces for Fox Valley Lutheran. Brianna Stewart had 15 kills and five blocks, Sammie Thomas had 18 digs and seven aces, Riley Schmitz had 46 digs and five aces, and Caily Groth had nine kills.

Oconto Falls went 2-2, beating Ashwaubenon 25-16, 25-17 and Little Chute 25-18, 25-16. Howards Grove beat the Panthers 25-20, 25-23 and Wrightstown beat the Panthers 25-18, 23-25, 15-13.

Izzy Otto had 53 assists and 10 aces for Oconto Falls. Rylie Shallow had 21 digs and six aces, while Rhiana VandeYacht had 21 kills and 12 digs. Ella Jahnke added 13 kills.
