Sevilla have reached an agreement to sign Everton full-back Nathan Patterson on a season-long loan, according to one renowned Toffees insider on X. Everton manager David Moyes have started the season withJake O’Brien as his right-back at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Patterson could struggle to play regularly if he remains with the Toffees beyond the summer transfer deadline, and he wants to leave temporarily.

The reliable Everton insider (followed by the likes of Alan Myers, Fabrizio Romano, Jason Burt and Christopher Beesley on social media) reported via X on Monday morning that the Merseyside club want to strengthen before allowing the 23-year-old leave. The Scotland International made 11 appearances across all competitions last term, and he knows he needs to play regularly this term to go to the 2026 World Cup.

It appears Sevilla are promising him that, and the opportunity to play for such a club appeals to him. They are the most successful club in the Europa League, with seven titles to their name in the second-tier competition of European club football.
