Manchester United want Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens, and a transfer to Old Trafford is inching closer.
The Man United target has been omitted from Antwerp’s matchday squad for this weekend’s game versus Mechelen.
#antkvm

Man United need a new goalkeeper, with Andre Onana disappointing since his switch from Inter Milan two years ago.
While United manager Ruben Amorim publicly backed the Cameroon international shot-stopper following his gaffes, it was clear they needed an upgrade.
Altay Bayindir was handed an opportunity to take the starting berth, but was equally unreliable, forcing the club into the transfer market.
Man United have now turned to Lammens as they bid to bounce back from their woeful 15th-place Premier League finish and poor Europa League final showing.
Lammens’ statisitcs highlight why Man United view him as the long-term fix between the posts.
No goalkeeper recorded more saves (178) or prevented more goals (15.8) than him in world football during 2024/25.
He also ranked in the 98th percentile for goals prevented and 90th for save percentage.
His passing metrics also stand out, placing in the 89th percentile for passes completed and the 81st for short pass accuracy.
Lammens dominated the Belgian Pro League with 127 saves, an 81.4 percent save rate, and 14.5 goals prevented, a mark better than David de Gea’s excellent 2017/18 season.
Across Europe’s top twenty leagues, he is in the top 1% for prevented goals, crosses stopped, penalties saved and total saves.
Lammens is one of the best young goalkeepers on the market and a potentially transformative signing for United.
If Man United sign Lammens after acquiring Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo, it would be an excellent transfer window.
If a top midfielder follows, it would be arguably their best in recent memory.
